Gus Hansen continued to tear up the high stakes pot limit Omaha tables at Bovada this weekend, picking up another $1,000,000 in profit to add to the over $2,000,000 he brought in last weekend. Gus would have to start out the weekend with a heads up match against trex313, who happened to win a ton of money from Gus last weekend. As was the case last week, the two players would be responsible for some of the largest pots of the weekend.
In the first huge hand played in the heads up match, Hansen would open up the action with a min-raise from the button. Trex313 would call and check the Ks 5c 4h flop to Hansen who put out a $4,000 continuation bet. Trex313 however reraised this up to $14k which would be called by Hansen. The turn came the 9c and trex313 led out this time with a $28,200 bet. Hansen would not just call this time, but would come over top with an all in push. Trex313 would call the nearly $75k raise and show Jc 8c Qs 7s for a double gut shot straight draw and a flush draw. Hansen would turn over 5d Tc Kd Jh and would be in the lead with two pair. The river came the Td though, giving trex313 a king high straight and the $237,396 from the pot.

The two would also spend some time over the weekend battling it out on 6 max tables with other top poker names. The next $200k+ pot was played out between the two once again. Hansen opened the action with a raise to $3.5k from under the gun. OnTheRize called from the button and trex313 would also call from the small blind. The flop came Qh 2d Js and trex313 would take the lead with a bet of $8,200. Hansen called behind and OnTheRize folded, leaving the 3d to come on the turn. Trex313 led out once again, this time with a $27,900 bet that Hansen would again call. The river came the As and this time trex313 would check the action to Hansen, who pushed his remaining $62,389 into the pot. Shortly after the previous hand, Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan then took a seat at the table and the aggressive play would continue. Dwan started the hand off with a raise to $3k from under the gun. Trex313 would call the raise from the button and Hansen would call from the big blind. The flop came 7c 4d 9s and Hansen would lead out with a $9k bet which would get a call from Dwan and a fold from trex313. The turn came the Kc and Hansen bet out $27,500, however Dwan would raise behind, putting Hansen all in. He would indeed call and turn over 5d 6h 9c 9d for a set of nines and a gutshot straight draw. Meanwhile the heads up battle continued to produce massive pots. Trex313 would begin the action of the next huge hand with a raise to $2k, however Hansen would reraise from the big blind to $6k. This raise would be called and the flop would come 2h Qd Jh. Hansen led out with an $8k bet, however trex313 reraised behind to $24,200. Hansen then put in another raise, pushing it up to $84,600, only to have trex313 pop it up again. Hansen called $45,960 more and showed 2c Th As Ah for a pair of aces, the nut flush draw, and a gutshot straight draw. Trex313 flipped over 9s 2d Td Qc for a pair of queens and a lower open ended straight draw. The turn came the Ts which improved trex313 to two pair, however he would still need to dodge many cards on the river to survive. The river brought the 7h however and Hansen would hit his flush, taking down the $273,120 pot.

Back at the 6 max table, Hansen would open up the action with a raise to $3.5k from under the gun. Tsarrast called the raise behind Hansen, which was followed by a call from Dwan. Ziigmund and luckexpress10 would also call and the flop came 7s Ts 8c. Luckexpress10 checked the action to Hansen who put out an $18.5k continuation bet. Tsarrast however would repop this up to $74k right behind Hansen which would get folds from everybody but Hansen. In the final gigantic hand for Hansen this weekend, he opened the action on the heads up table with a raise to $3k from the button. Trex313 called the raise and the flop came 3d Kh 7d. Trex313 checked the action to Hansen who put out a $5k continuation bet, however trex313 then reraised to $15,200. Hansen however would once again raise, pushing it up to $51,600, which would prompt trex313 to push all in. Hansen called just over $75k more and showed 6d Kd 8s 9c for top pair and a diamond flush draw. Trex313 turned over 5c 7s 3c 3s for a set of threes and would need to dodge some cards to take down the pot. The turn came the Qc, which changed nothing. However the river came the Qd which would give Hansen a king high flush. The second queen on the board however gave trex313 a full house and he would take down the $260,978 pot. Trex313 would once again end the weekend up a lot on Hansen, however Hansen most likely could not have been bothered as he still shipped just under a million dollars in profit this weekend (totaling over three million the last two weeks).
