After the past few days, we wouldn’t have begrudged Viktor Blom time off. He has lost seriously large amounts of money, some to Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky and some to Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene, and a little more scattered around. If it was me, I’d be avoiding all discussions about money, but Viktor is always thinking about poker, and we caught this tweet on the 8th:

Viktor’s Friday started late, and started at the nosebleed No Limit Hold’Em Cap tables against the enigmatic “SanIker.” 29 hands later, the two split, with Blom getting $55,996 in the divorce.

Viktor rebounded from the NLHE tables straight in to the arms of the FLO8 tables, and sat at one of the 6-Max tables. Other players also sat here included Phil “Polarizing” Ivey and Kyle “cottonseed1” Hendon. 73 hands later, Viktor had lost $140,256. FLO8 wasn’t all bad to Viktor though, as he also sat against Watch regular “SallyWoo.” These two played heads up at a $2k/$4k FLO8 table for 110 hands. Viktor was the one to profit from this time together, and was able to pocket $222,970 from the battle. We caught some of the FLO8 action between these two, and it’s in the video below.

This brought us to the latest meeting of Viktor and Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene. This long time on/off relationship has been both beneficial and abusive to both players over time, and as it started I had no idea how this session was going to go.

This watch will cover the first 5 “Mini-Sessions” of this battle, with the rest being covered in the next watch.

The first session took 266 hands, and was spread across 3 tables. Tollerene sneaked out a lead in this version of the on-going war between these two, and took a $24,054 profit from this opening “Mini-Session.”

The second session saw the first session almost repeated, and while Viktor had a $110k+ profit at one of the three tables, he still lost $18,668 overall from these 123 hands as Tollerene took smaller wins at the other two.

Session Three still saw Tollerene win two of the three tables in play, but four hands at one table won Viktor $156,990, and he took the session with a $65,956 profit.

The penultimate session of the day, Session Four, saw Viktor take two tables for the first time yesterday. The third table didn’t got that well, and was the biggest swing of the 240 hand session, pegged back Viktor’s profit to only $37,206

The last session was over 152 hands, and the $61,911 loss to Tollerene brought Friday’s PLO session to a stalemate, with Viktor only being down $1,471 and most of that would be in rake.

The battle between these two continued through the date line, and we’ll come back to that tomorrow, in the meantime, I hope you enjoy some of the hands we gathered for you enjoyment:

As the day switched over from being a Friday into a Saturday, we stopped counting the dollar signs. Viktor left Friday with a $137,239 profit, which has pulled Viktor’s profit line out of the nose dive it have been during the past few days. This has taken his yearly profit to $3,060,265.

Friday seemed to be a good day for Viktor, and while he occasionally dipped below the breakeven line, he seemed to be on top of his game, and was able to make the most of his action when he got it. “SallyWoo” is still a very dangerous opponent, and Viktor has once again been able to best him/her. Viktor’s battle against Tollerene ended the day with no clear winner, but that battle continued after the date line, so we’ll have to see how that panned out tomorrow.

The rumours about that €1,000,000 cash game in Monte Carlo are still growing, and I’ve heard some people are quietly confident it’s going to happen. I can’t see Viktor not sitting down at this table, and doing his best to crush whomever has been able to find the money and cojones to sit down with him.

The Live stream from Monte Carlo is still being hosting by FTR, and please come and join me in watching what is a very star filled final two days.
