Today is our Valentine’s special edition of Isildur1 Watch, and with Viktor Blom dropping money like he did last night, his girlfriend is either going to get a great Valentine’s Day, or he’s not going to be able to afford to buy her a card.

Viktor’s day started at the $200/$400 6-Max PLO tables, where he managed to drop $62,501 in a 42 minute session spanning 4 tables and 119 hands. We caught this action at the star packed table with players including Blom, “durrrr” and Phil Ivey:

I’d love to know the hand rationalisations for both of these players actions, but as this is a cap table, it may have just been the inner Gambol of both of these Poker Titans playing out.

Viktor then moved on the playing some 2-7TD, with this session over lapping the time spent at his ongoing PLO tables. With “PostflopAction as his opponent, our Swedish Hero lost another $37,500 over 50 hands and  22 minutes.

We only caught a few of the hands, but this was the biggest:

Viktor then went back to the PLO tables, and over the next hour, 8 tables and 239 hands, Mr Blom dropped another $86,622. It wasn’t all one way traffic, and we caught this interesting hand:

The session generally went in the other direction, and in this hand, Phil Ivey shows some of the reason why he’s considered the best Poker Player alive.

At this point, Blom got together with Rui Cao, and the two say across from each other at a quintet of  $50/$100 Heads Up PLO Tables. We didn’t catch the action, but thanks to technology, and HighStakesDB, we got the results. Blom, in his best stretch of the day took nearly $60k from Rui over the 45 minute session.

As I write this, Viktor is back at the tables, playing some $100/$200 Heads Up PLO, which I’ll cover tomorrow, but I hope he takes the time off to take his girlfriend out for a nice Valentines Dinner, especially as he’s still up just under $1.4 Million for the year and even after dropping $127,000 last night, I think he can afford to spoil her with a nice evening out.

If you want to try and get Viktor to “sponsor” your Valentine’s Day excursion, you can still try and catch him at one of the Full Tilt “Challenge tables.” All you need to do is download the Full Tilt client, and search him out on the tables.
