I’m sat here, seriously contemplating commissioning a study into high stakes online poker players, and sleep loss. The reason? Viktor Blom. After I finished the last in this  series yesterday, he didn’t stop playing. At least, not for another 8 hours.

As I start writing this, he back at the tables again. I’m not going to cover the action that has just started, probably because there is so much to cover from yesterday.

As we left Viktor, he was back playing PLO against Hac “trex313” Dang.  Given how much of this session was included in the last article, we’re just going touch on it here. Viktor ended up with a total of $155,184 to the good from the whole $200/$400 PLO session.

After a short break, which I originally took as Viktor passing out in bed, Isildur1 was back at the tables, this time against Scott “mastrblastr” Seiver. They played some 2-7TD heads up at the max limits, and we caught most of the action. the session lasted 195 hands, and seemed to be a fairly one sided battle. Viktor left the table with an additional $239,284 to his name. We’ve picked the hands below to give an flavour of the session:

Before he’d even finished empting Scott’s wallet, Viktor was off adding the very juicy 2-7TD 6-Max game that was running, including players such as Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond, “patpatpanda” and “Alexonmoon.” We didn’t catch all of the action, but Viktor kept playing at these tables for the rest of his session, and managed to drop just over $200k. these are some of the bigger hands:

In between getting action at this massive 2-7TD game, Viktor was also playing some $250/$500 PLO, but to be honest it may have not been the best idea. With Viktor obviously tired after playing more that 24 hours straight at this point, he dropped nearly $160k, with one of the biggest hands we’ve seen since the return of Full Tilt after Black Friday.

With Viktor only stopping to grab $13,498 from Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau during a brief 14 hand session at a $1.5k$3k 2-7TD heads up table, a game was started between our Swedish hero, and a fiendish Finn, Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius. With Patrik obviously the fresher of the two, he managed to take $101,954 from Viktor’s bankroll during the 75 hand session. We caught most of the action, and the highlights are below:

Just after his battle with Patrik started, Viktor also decided to sit at a FLO8 heads up table, playing at the $2k/$4k limits, and his opponent was Kyle “KPR16” Ray. They battled over 2 sessions, and we’ve brought you the pick of the hands from both of them below. The two $150k sessions evened out, and Viktor booked a $2,595 loss.

The only other game that Viktor played was a short 19 hand session against “cottonseed1” at another $2k/$4k FLO8 heads up table. He added $78,994 to his stack, but we weren’t able to catch any of the action.

Viktor called it a day, after considerably more than a day at the tables. He was back playing less than 12 hours later, but that is a story for tomorrow. the last 24 hours of tracking has Viktor only up $99,384, and his profit for the year is creeping slowly back towards $1.5 Million. At least it’s going in the right direction, something which I’m sure has been on Viktor’s mind during his recent downswing.

However, if you’d like to see if you can beat the Swedish Master, Full Tilt are still offering the “Challenge tables” promotion. If you don’t have a Full Tilt account yet, you can download the software here, but remember to take advantage of the exclusive FTR Welcome Package when you do.

I’m off to send Viktor an email about sleep deprivation, and see if I can find an academic who wants to attach electrodes to poker players heads to see what makes them tick. I’m not sure we have the technology to understand what makes Viktor Blom tick yet, but it’ll be fun finding out.
