1296 players did battle in WCOOP Event 5, $320 6-Max, Shootout. Entrants had to win 4 Sit and Gos in a row to claim the top prize of $62,000. On the surface it appears easy enough. However, the odds of winning four in a row is astronomical, even for top SNG players.

Those odds get a little worse when you factor in you will be playing against elite Team PokerStars Pros. Four pros managed to make it in the money. German George Danzer put on the most impressive performance, finishing in 71st. Danzer knows a thing or two about going deep in the WCOOP: he won an Omaha event last year. PhD Anders Hoyer Berg, Italian Pat Pezzin, and Starcraft great Johannes Steindl rounded out representatives of Team Pro that cashed. Joe Hachem, 2005 WSOP Champion, got passed the sugar on the bubble.

Players may also recognize names like BodogAri, MrSmokey1, and BeL0WaB0Ve that just missed out on the final table.

GB2005 was the most recognizable name at the WCOOP Event 5 final table. Known in real life as Gary Bogdanski, he has been a successful online tournament player for the better part of five years. He finished 3rd in the PokerStars Sunday Million ($85,000) and claimed outright victory in the Absolute Poker $150k Guaranteed for over $35,000.

In the end, J0hnny_Dr@m@, came out on top besting Sunday Warmup Champion vluff. A classic race situation, big slick versus pocket tens, determined the champion. It’s the first WCOOP title for J0hnny_Dr@m@.
