After less than eight hours of play, JBurleson emerged as the winner of FTOPS XVII’s Event No. 19. After wading through a field of 729 players in this $500+$35 shootout, the top finisher was awarded a prize of $76,545.
Stuart Paterson hosted this latest event, which beats its $350,000 Guarantee by $14,500. Paterson, unfortunately, didn’t figure in the winnings with a 643rd place finish. All told, the top 81 places were payed, with a minimum return of $1,020.60. After each player started out with a sizable 3,000 chip stack, the tournament eventually ended with blinds and antes at the 15,000/30,000 and 4,000 level.
