Over 4500 runners ponied up $640 to take part in the FTOPS Main Event on Sunday. The event failed to meet its guarantee, so Full Tilt Poker was forced to cover the $300,000 overlay. $3 million was on the line when the cards started flying.

Recently signed poker prodigy, Annette Obrestad, hosted the FTOPS Main Event. In 2007, Obrestad took down the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event. The Norwegian won over $2 million for her stellar play. Unfortunately, she failed to cash in the event. English poker pro James Akenhead managed to make the money for team Full Tilt. Joining him were WSOP Bracelet Winners Vitalay Lunkin and Scott Clements.

At the final table, five players decided to make a deal, guaranteeing themselves $200,000. When the dust settled, Kirbynator was the last one standing. Along with a gold jersey, Kirbynator received over $325,000 for his victory. He has over $500,000 profit on Full Tilt Poker. Congrats Kirbynator! Runner up, apalma, managed to win more than the champion because of the chop that was made. Third place finisher, DaHussstla, also won more money than Kirbynator. Long time tourney grinder bobcards2 finished in 6th place.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in FTOPS XVI!
