PokerStars has scheduled special VIP Ring Game Happy Hours this month, aimed at boosting the rankings of their players. From now until January 29, users can earn 50% more VPPs and FPPs by frequenting the ring games at the appointed times.
Each week this month features a different stretch. From January 2-8, the promotion will be in effect from 04:00-05:00 ET. Between January 9 and 15, the time jumps to 10:00-11:00 ET. The following week (Jan. 16-22), players will earn double benefits from 16:00-17:00 ET. The final installment takes place from January 23-29 between 22:00 and 23:00 ET.
It’s going to be a busy month over at PokerStars, with players gearing up for the first annual running of the new Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP). Speaking of which, players with extra VPP to spend can buy into several of its upcoming events through the PokerStars VIP Store. Those owning SilverStar status or above can get their hands on discounted entry tickets, with the sale price becoming a better deal for players of greater rank.
It’s worth noting that there are a limited number of these discounted tickets available, so players will want to act as quickly as possible. Additionally, PokerStars says, players can purchase only one of each discounted ticket per event.
Even if the TCOOP tickets run out, there will be several other things on sale in the VIP store. Shirts, watches, accessories, and even glasses will be available at reduced rates throughout the month of January. There will also be several tournaments available, including weekly $30,000 VIP events and a monthly $100,000 VIP event.
PokerStars is also offering a pace bonus for players seeking to get the most out of their time. Players who earn a required number of points during the month of January will receive cash bonuses, which are divided up into three tiers. Users earning 8,333 VPPs will be awarded with $100, with the other requirements set at 16,667 VPPs ($200) and 25,000 VPPs ($300). Those who manage to earn a pace bonus, PokerStars claims, will be well on their way to snagging Supernova VIP status.
