Top class online poker site RedKings Poker have announced that they are sending a team of 11 players to the European Poker Tour event in Dortmund, Germany. Team RK will include six German speaking players, emblematic of RedKings’ recent efforts to become the online poker destination of choice for Germany and Austria. The €5,000 main event begins later today.

A RedKings spokesperson stated that “RedKings has been focusing on the German and Austrian Poker markets for the past 6 months and in that short time the results have been staggering.” He went on to claim that they are now “the 1st choice for many online poker players in Germany.” They were also keen to underly the importance of their cadre of live players, seen at live events all around the world. “Our Live Team has been a major factor in tempting the bigger players to play online at RedKings.”

Some of the squad’s most notable members include Aussie Millions Event #1 winner Christian Heich, well known German pro Jan-Peter Jachtmann, and Ivo “the chessmaster” Doney. In Jonas Molander they have a player with proven EPT experience, having already notched up 5 EPT cashes in his short career. Finnish Open champion Toni Ojala is also proven on the European live circuit, along with Ramzi Jelassi, who recently won the €1,000 World Heads Up Poker Championships in Barcelona.

Completing the line-up are Per Linde, Benjamin Schaub, online qualifier Thomas Erichsen, and Mission2RedKings winners Enrico Moldenhauer and Richard Weiss. The full lineup can be seen at

RedKings Live Events Manager Jerry Land was upbeat about Team RK’s chances: “It’s fantastic that we have so many players going to a Major event like this. The RedKings Team fighting spirit is well known on the European Poker circuit.” He added that “we will be running live updates and reports from Dortmund on our Team RedKings Blog throughout the 4 days of the Tournament. To kick off the event we will be holding an online Freeroll on the 10th March with all our Dortmund Team  members playing with Bounties on their heads, it should be great fun’’

If you missed out on qualifying for this EPT event then RedKings still offers you the chance to make your mark at the two remaining EPT’s in San Remo and Monte Carlo. They also have satellites into the WSOP main and side events, as well as a number of chances to qualify for the Swedish Championships (of which RedKings Poker is a co-sponsor).
