A belated installment of This Week at FlopTurnRiver!

FlopTurnRiver Gauntlet X Game #10

The final week is already upon us for this season of the Gauntlet (along with the final days if some people are to be believed!). That said, the league is by no means finished. By our calculations, at least 6 players have a good shot of winning the famous trophy and a few more could snatch victory if other results go their way! The current leader Xianti, a well known name around FTR, is hoping he can hold on, but only time will tell.

Even if you haven’t played any Gauntlet games this season, feel free to join us! I can promise fun and banter, and hopefully some run good too. Check the application thread for how to get involved.

All the discussions about this week’s tournament can be found here: Game #10 Thread

Dwan v Blom $200,000 Heads Up Match

Tomorrow, we’re going to be bringing you coverage of the Tom Dwan v Viktor Blom (aka the famous Isildur1) heads up match. Both are putting up $100,000 of their own money and playing across four tables on Full Tilt. This will take place tomorrow, December the 9th, at 3pm ET (8pm WET), and we’ll be doing our best to bring you the big hands for discussion and analysis!

Bovada’s Affiliate Series

If you haven’t been playing Bovada’s Affiliate Series tournaments already, you’ve been missing out. Every week there’s nearly $200 in tournament tickets added, and at the end of the series there’s a $2,500 freeroll for everyone who had a good finish in one of the weekly tournaments. Our member Poker Orifice has won not one but two $162 tickets this month alone and a few others have won entry to the end of series tournament.

There are only 3 tournaments in the series left and the password is available to all Qualified Members. See full information here!

Free Laughs

We’ll finish this week’s post with a thread which promises free poker-theme laughs! It’s spoonitnow’s “No Money Microstakes, Everybody’s Solid” thread where you can post and see hands where people are basically just trying to give away money.

Our favourite posts include post 204, where a player at $1/$2 appears to have only have two buttons; bet pot or check, which he clicks at random, and post 319 where a Cake player decides that pocket fives are definitely head, regardless of the fact he’s been raised twice and only has 4th pair!
