GUKPT Walsall starts on Sunday
The GUKPT is out and about again, this time the festival bus is stopping in Walsall. The Festival starts on Sunday, and runs for two weeks. The Main Event starts on the 11th of July, and you can satellite in at the G Casino in Walsall, just contact the casino for more information on the satellites and the side events.
“Westernmania” Rolling Over The Western Club
The Western Club in Acton, London, is running a unique event with a £50,000 guaranteed prizepool. The Westernmania Rollover Festival is an event with 12 Day 1s, all with different buy ins. How do they make this work I hear you ask? Well, the chip equity for the buy ins are all in line, so if you buy into the £10 Day 1A, you will get 10% of the chips if you buy into the Day 1L for £100. You can play as many Day 1s as you like, and combine all of your remaining chips into one stack to play Day 2. You can also buy into Day 2 for £200.
Come and Ride “The Pony” at the Big Slick Club
The Big Slick Club in Purley is offering a multi day tournament this week, with 4 four Day 1s. For £25 you get a 10k starting stack, and a 20 minute clock to try and be the one player out of eight to make it through to Day 2 on Saturday. If you can’t play any of the Day 1s, you can also buy in on Saturday for £200 and get an average stack (estimated at 120k). The Prize pool is guaranteed at £20,000.
WSOP Main Event Starts on Saturday
This Saturday sees the start of the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. A little out of the way for most UK residents, but we have a big bunch of players over there bracelet hunting, and they’d love the support. You can watch the live streams at WSOP.com, and find your favourite player on twitter, and send them a good luck tweet for the Main Event.
