There’s been a lot of action in the online realm lately, with PokerStars continuing to push out withdrawals through the wires. Check out a few of the details below, plus some of the winners and losers so far this week.

PokerStars Ships Big Money

Thanks to an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, PokerStars has been able to return over $100 million to former users living within American borders.

Since the April 20th announcement of this arrangement, the poker room has also been allowed to make transactions in the FPP department. These can now be used to purchase VIP Stellar Rewards and Milestone Cash Credits, so long as they were earned in 2010 or 2011.

Big Winners

“FinnishNightmre” has been the biggest winner on Full Tilt as of late, playing 1,857 hands and snagging just under $107,000 by midweek. Gus Hansen has also been on the upswing again, netting nearly $100,000 after only eights sessions and 954 hands.

Big Losers

After being hailed as the best online player in the immediate wake of Black Friday, Patrik Antonius has suffered a sizable hit. In a three-session swing, he managed to lose $192,586 in just 250 hands. One of his biggest beneficiaries was the aforementioned Gus Hansen. The two squared off over a heads-up $500/$1,000 pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt, with Antonius taking the brunt of several tough breaks.

Ivey’s Room

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the opening of his poker room at the Aria, Phil Ivey is putting on the 2nd Annual Ivey Invitational. Featuring a $250K first-place prize, this invitation only event will take place on May 21.

“We have been extremely pleased with the success of The Ivey Room since its 2010 debut,” said Aria’s president and COO Bill McBeath. “It has quickly become the foremost room for high-stakes action. We are grateful to have a long-standing relationship with Phil as he remains one of the elite players in the world of poker.”
