Bob Geldolf doesn’t like Monday’s, and considering he didn’t have the World Series of poker to keep him entertained, that may have been reasonable. We on the other hand have more delayed final tables, and another two bracelets handed out to cover.

Event #31

The $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/low Split 8 or Better Event #31 kicked off on Monday and attracted some big names. Phil Hellmuth, Scotty Nguyen, Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu all paid their money to take their chance, but none of these top flight pros made Day 2. Names to keep an on during Day 2 include Mike Matusow (25,900), Jason Mercier (37,100) and Barry Greenstein (53,300). The top ten stacks coming back for Day 2 are:

Player of the Year

Not much has really happened in the Player of the Year race in the past 24 hours apart from the emergence of Jason Duval in the top ten leader board after his win in Event # 28. Daniel Negreanu is still leading the race, but he is still very catchable as he’s not really heated up since he got back the Vegas.

  1. Daniel Negreanu – 446.53
  2. Daniel Kelly – 334.70
  3. Benny Chen – 300.00
  4. Mark Radoja – 292.50
  5. Matthew Ashton – 289.75
  6. Matthew Waxman – 274.50
  7. Charles Syvestre – 260.00
  8. Jason Duval – 256.25
  9. Corey Harrison – 254.50
  10. Daniel Marton – 252.00

Tuesday the 18th is going to be packed with final tables for Event #29 and Event #30, along with action from Events #31, #32 and #33.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the action, and will be bringing you all the ups and downs.
