Day four at the WSOP, and we have our second and third bracelets won. We also have action from Event #4, Event #5 and the “Millionaire Maker” Event #6 to cover as well.

Event #2

Today saw Trevor Pope dominate the final table of Event #2, the $5,000 8-Max NLHE to take home $553,906. You can read a full write up by Mike over here.

Event #3

We also saw Charles Sylvestre win the $1,000 re-Entry NLHE bracelet. He takes home $491,360 for his efforts after beating out the other 3,163 players. A full report of the final table is available here.

Event #4

The plan today was to play this $1,500 6-Max NLHE event down to the final six, but we only got down to the unofficial 7 handed final table.

The bubble had burst earlier in the day, and of the 117 players returning for Day 2, 108

were paid at least $2,871 for their efforts.

Players to make the money included Humberto Brenes (70th for $3,391), (Nick Abou Risk (50th for $4,372) and Matt Salsberg (21st for $9,640).

Mike Mustafa is the man to beat going into day 3, and is holding a decent lead of over 300k over second placed Manig Loeser. Still in contention is 2009 main Event Winner, Joe Cada, who is sitting in 5th place.

The chip counts going into the final day are:

Event #5

Event #5 is the first mixed game event of this year’s series, and the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Stud Hi/Lo 8-or Better holds the title for the longest title of an Event so far this year.

Being a rather specialised game, only 374 players stumped up the buy in for this bracelet event, but that doesn’t mean the felid wasn’t stacked with talent.

The cash bubble broke during today’s play, and 40 of the players were able to add another cash to their tracking data. These included Max Pescatori (32nd for $5,496) Matt Glantz (29th for $5,496) and Kevin MacPhee (25th for $5,496).

MacPhee was part of the reason the Daniel Negreanu made it into the final day following a big pot:

 

 

 

Negreanu is in 14th place with 106,500 going into Day 3, which is just ahead of his friend Mike Matusow who is in 17th place with 57,500.

Event #6

The opening day of “The Millionaire Maker” $1,500 NLHE Event #6 was built of two flights, staggered over the day. It broke the record for the biggest non main event of all time with 6,343 players starting over both of the flights, and is bigger than the 2005 Main Event!

The 1,481 players to make it to day two include Marvin Rettenmaier (4,500), EPT Grand Final Winner Steve O’Dwyer (6,800) and Brian Hastings (10,100).

648 players will be walking away with at least $2,740, and first prize is a whopping $1,198,780. All of the final table will be pocketing at least a six figure sum, with ninth taking $105,154.
